Ongoing: Each year Dr BK Education supports students at the University of Calabar with its scholarship award programme. This has been one of our most consistent achievements.

December 2024: BK International House hosted the Christmas party for the disabled users of the centre. Once again attendees were able to showcase the skills acquired during the year and participate in activities during the party.
October 2019: The theme of the 2019 secondary school’s health debate competition was ‘Should Genetically Modified Foods Be Adopted in Nigeria?’. The topic was keenly discussed by the six participating schools.
December 2016: Dr BK Education hosted a Christmas party for the disabled users of BK International House. Attendees were able to show off the skills learnt during the year with the products they had made, dance and take part in games.
October 2016: The secondary school’s health debate competition took place at BK International House. The event was attended by six secondary schools from the Calabar area.
2015: A health promotion programme was facilitated by Dr BK Education, during this year we worked with primary and secondary schools in Calabar, Cross River State to deliver health promotion messages to students.
2015: During 2015 the centre hosted a range of events run by the Traditional Birth Attendants Association Cross River State. Here’s an interview with their president at the time Mrs Ikwo Bassey-Duke.
May 2014: Public Health Update event held at BK International House. A range of health professionals from Nigeria and the UK gave presentations on a wide range of health topics including cardiovascular diseases, healthy diet and lifestyle, oral and visual health and environmental health issues.
March 2014: The inaugural secondary school health debate competition was held at BK International House. The motion debated was ‘This House Would Ban Smoking in Public Places’.
